Event planner fees in Kuala Lumpur usually work one of two ways: a management fee of roughly 10–15% of the total event budget, or a fixed project fee. In practice most corporate events we handle in KL land between RM 15,000 and RM 80,000 all-in, while large product launches and gala dinners run from RM 100,000 upward. VC Events quotes a single itemised figure with no hidden fees, no overtime charges and no surprise add-ons, so the number you approve is the number you pay.
Our event planning services cover the whole job end to end: concept and theme development, budgeting, venue sourcing, vendor negotiation, run-of-show and rundown, stage and set design, AV and sound production, lighting, LED screens, entertainment and emcee booking, catering coordination, guest registration, permits, on-site show calling, photography and videography, live streaming, and full teardown. You brief one event planner and we handle every supplier behind the scenes.
An event planner designs the event — the concept, the budget, the run sheet and the supplier list. An event management company also executes it, putting crew, equipment and a project manager on site on the day. VC Events is both. We plan the event and we own the delivery, including in-house AV, sound, lighting and staging, so nothing is handed off to a subcontractor who was not in the planning meetings.
We are based in Kuala Lumpur and work across the Klang Valley as standard — KL, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Subang Jaya, Puchong, Cyberjaya, Putrajaya, Damansara, Mont Kiara and Bangsar. We also run events nationwide, including Penang, Johor Bahru, Melaka, Ipoh, Kuantan, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. Site visits inside the Klang Valley are free.
Ask four things. First, is the quotation fully itemised, or is it one lump sum that can grow later? Second, is the crew in-house or subcontracted on the day? Third, who is your single point of contact from briefing to teardown? Fourth, can they show you actual events they delivered, not stock photos. An event company that answers all four clearly is far safer than one that only competes on headline price.
For large corporate events, product launches and gala dinners, book 3 to 6 months ahead — that is what it takes to secure the venue, the date and the right crew. Smaller corporate dinners and team building events can be delivered in 4 to 8 weeks. We do take on urgent jobs at shorter notice when our crew is free, so it is always worth asking.
Both. We run events from around 50 guests up to 5,000. Smaller events get the same dedicated project manager and the same itemised quotation — the scope is simply smaller. Over 800 events since 2018 covers everything from an intimate VIP dinner to a nationwide mall roadshow.
VC Events manages corporate events, annual dinners, product launches, gala dinners and awards nights, brand activations and roadshows, conferences, seminars and AGMs, leadership summits and town halls, team building and family days, exhibitions and trade shows, grand openings, and hybrid or livestreamed events. We also provide event equipment rental — PA system, LED screen, projector, lighting and staging — as a standalone service.
